Information for DataPak Users
Skymet will only work with DataPaks whose firmware is version 5.2 or above. This is not to be confused with the DataPak software which you use to download the data, it's the software actually inside the DataPak itself.
If your DataPak was bought in the last couple of years it is probably fine, but if you have any doubts you can try this little utility and see if it is compatible or not.
You do need to have already installed the Skymet demo; please install this utility into the same directory as it needs a .dll file which the demo provides.

The utility is simple; just choose the COM port that your DataPak resides on, then press the 'Status' button to get some information from the device within a few seconds. The first line tells you which firmware revision you have; anything 5.2 or above is compatible with Skymet.
The second button will download up to 10 records from your DataPak just to prove it works. This utility might also be of interest to people trying to iron out computer connection problems!
