Real Time Buttons

There are two ways to look at the change of weather data over time - dynamic scrolling graphs and animated weather images. Find the buttons to activate these modes on the bottom right of the main screen, next to the resource buttons.

Scrolling Graphs

You can choose two weather variables to monitor as the data comes in from your weather station. These will scroll with time. Press the button to view the graphs - they will default to temperature and wind speed the first time you use them.

Right-click on the graph to get a menu which you can use to control the graphs.

Choose from indoor & outdoor temperature, dew point, indoor & outdoor humidity, wind speed and air pressure. WMR-928 extra sensors are also available for owners of that station type.

Choose also from a time period of 1, 2, 12 or 24 hours.

These graphs do not have control over the scale or the line colour - if you need a more complex graph, please use the main Graphs screen.

Animation Button

Skymet stores the last six of each image type that is downloaded from the internet. If you leave the program running, it will collect consecutive images. By pressing the animation button, it will show the six images in rotation which will illustrate the changing weather conditions across the UK. Press the button again to stop the animation.

Remember that even though your software collects all image types once an hour, the actual update frequencies are not the same, so the timescale of the animation will be different in each case. Weather map images are updated once an hour; infra-red satellite images every six hours and visible satellite images are variable.
