Graphs screen
The graphing facility allows graphs to be created showing a range of data types. Graphs can be plotted using local data only or local and remote data. The system will choose to plot one or two graphs depending on the number of data types selected.
Creating the graph
To plot a new graph, click on the graph icon (second from the left of the icons top left). A window will appear.
You may plot up to four data types. Select from:
- Temperature
- Wind Speed
- Wind Direction
- Barometric Pressure
- Relative Humidity
- Precipitation
Select the date range you would like to plot.
The normal default is a month's worth of data.
To set the start time of the graph, click on the arrow button to select a date from a pop-up calendar. Use either the arrow keys to move the grey day marker, or click on the day directly to choose it.
To choose the time, use either the arrow keys or click on the hour, then click the arrow buttons to change the hour.
Repeat the process for the second date to set up the end of the graph. Click 'Next' to continue.

You will be asked to plot specific graphs at this point. For example, if you selected temperature in the previous section, it is now split into indoor/outdoor/max/min and dew point options. Click on each one you want and press the right arrow button to place it on the right hand side of the window. When you have the required types selected, press 'Next'.
If you have a WMR-928, the temperature and humidity data types will include the three extra sensor channels. These do not appear if you do not have this particular weather station.
The penultimate setup step asks if you would like to plot remote data to compare against your own data. If so, tick the box, and then choose the station from the drop-down box below. Stations appearing in the list are any that you have logged data for.
Finally, choose the colours for each graph line. The system groups similar data types and colours but you may prefer to separate the colours further.
Press 'Finish' to plot the graph.
Viewing the graph
There are three small buttons at the top right of the graph area.
The left button toggles 3D view.
The centre button switches the legend on and off.
The right button resets the graph to the original drawing - handy in case you zoom in too far!

Once the graph is on screen, you may prefer to zoom in to see particular lines more clearly. Click and drag a square from top left to bottom right around the area you wish to see. The graph is automatically zoomed and re-scaled. Press the 'refresh graph' button to reset it back to the starting scales.
To pan the visible data area, right-click and drag the graph.
To remove a line, click on it. If you accidentally remove a line, reset the graph with the button above to bring it back.

If you plot many data types, the graphs may split into two so the system can provide enough scales for each type. This is why you can only plot four data types - there's only four axes available for scaling. If there are two graphs on screen:
- Changing the zoom or pan on one graph will leave the other unaffected
- 3D and Legend buttons affect both
- Printing and saving must be done separately for each graph
Printing and saving graph images
Right-click on the graph to bring up the print/save dialogue.
Printing - click 'Print' and use your normal Windows print function.
Saving - click 'Save' to store the graph image. Images are saved as Windows bitmap (.bmp) format.
When you choose to plot the next graph, the software remembers the time period set previously but allows you to choose new parameters from scratch.
